With older gadgets, people will also assume that one glaring disadvantage is its compatibility with new software. Unless you get a used desktop computer that is over ten years, this won’t be an issue because PC software has a lot of versions that still work well.
You can find fairly new units, so if you’re unsure, do some research or a quick web search for the CPU model to find the release date. The information will give you an idea of how old the machine is. Paying attention to the specs (e.g., a hard drive, processor, and memory, in a computer) of the gadget will save you a whole lot of grief later.
