In The Little Mermaid, King Triton warns teenage daughter Ariel about how dangerous humans are and he forbids her from hanging around them. Ariel rebelled and visited Ursula behind her father’s back to draw up a contract that gave Ursula her precious voice in exchange for being human for three days. The deal was Ariel could only stay a human after the three days if she can get a human to kiss her before her time is up. If she fails, she has to become a prisoner of Ursula forever.

In Mulan, The Huns invade China and the Chinese emperor orders one man from every family to serve in the Imperial Army. This terrifies Mulan and her family because the only male in her family is her father. He’s already served before, his aging and is unlikely to come back home if he goes to war. So against all societal and cultural conventions, Mulan impersonates a man and goes in her father’s place as the son he never talked about.

In 101 Dalmatians, the evil villain Cruella De Vil conspires to steal a litter of Dalmatian puppies from her old childhood friend with horrific plans to kill them and turn them into Cruella De Vil’s next fur coat. Cruella De Vil ends up hiring Hoace and Jasper to do the job and steal Pongo and Perdy puppies by tricking the nanny to let them in. When Pongo and Perdy discover their puppies are missing, they run away to find their 15 dognapped puppies to rescue 86 more; a total of 101 Dalmatian puppies!
