How to Declutter Any Room in 6 Steps

Most of us have tackled a room, two, or three during quarantine. But if there’s one thing we’ve noticed during this whole situation—we’re somehow acquiring more and more junk.

This means no matter how much you clean and declutter room, you’re back to square one. This is annoying and produces a certain type of defeating feeling. It also means we need a new plan of attack.

We know the feeling all too well when you’re staring at piles of junk, clothes, and God knows whatever else underneath! It produces stress and anxiety, making you want to avoid it—put it off for another week!

If this sounds like a familiar situation, you need to take a couple of CBD gummies before starting your project. Countless people are finding out there are a ton of good CBD gummies on the market these days.

In fact, they’re blowing up because people love the fact that they start at low concentrations. And did you know that CBD in low concentrations enhances focus and concentration while providing calming and soothing vibes? This way, you can relax and still get things done.

That’s why we’ve got you covered with six steps you can use to declutter room Ideas.

1. Clear the Room

It makes sense if you think about it. How can you begin to see what direction you need to move in if you can’t see the floor?

We’re joking, but hopefully, it’s not that bad, but if it is, this still works.

Clear out the entire room so you can sweep and mop the floor before you construct your ideal room. Once you have a blank canvas to work with, you can better understand what you want to create with the space you have.

2. Create a “Vision”

Now you have all the space and opportunity laid out for you, and you can create the vision for the room.

Allow us to elaborate.

Will you keep the furniture in the same spots?

Do you want to feng-shui the room?

Is everything placed most beneficially?

Look into some decor ideas to generate some ideas of how you would like the room to look and feel.

These are the types of questions you should ask yourself while creating the vision for your new room. Once you do this, you can move on to the next step.

3. Keep, Donate, and Trash Piles

You have the “vision,” so now it’s time to get rid of stuff that doesn’t mesh with your vision. It’s tempting to simply throw all the things you don’t want in the dumpster, but try to avoid this because someone may need it.

That’s right, you know donations go a long way no matter what city you’re in. Plus, you’re helping someone in need. We know it’s not always possible to donate everything, especially amid Coronavirus, so if you must trash something, it’s understandable in this given moment in time.

That being said, make three different piles—keep, donate, and trash.

4. Work on the “Vision”

It’s time to craft the vision you’ve been imagining. You can place everything in new places and don’t be afraid to try different furniture pieces in a few other places. You want your new room to be functional and easy to keep clean and organized.

5. Add Some Organizational Items

Ikea, here we come!

It’s essential to add some organizational elements to your room to avoid being back in the same situation. There are so many different things you can implement in your room.

Some favorites are stackable shelves, bins, bowls, and other containers to organize smaller items around the room that usually lay around before disappearing. There are tons of creative ways to manage these days.

Don’t be afraid to get creative. All that matters is it works for you.

6. Maintain with 30 Minutes of Weekly Decluttering and Cleaning

What good is all of this work if you don’t maintain it all? The bottom line is if you keep things straight and organized as you move through the week, you won’t have as much maintenance when you go to “clean” the room.

At the end of the week, when you’re chilling at home on a lazy Sunday, go through the room and put things back in their designated spots to keep your “vision” of the room fresh and in order.

Who knows, you could become enthralled with the concept of organization when it’s all said and done.

Parting Thoughts

Don’t let clutter of any kind overwhelm you. It’s not hard. All you need to do is roll your sleeves up and jump in—full force.

Have you noticed you can think better in a clean and organized space?

It’s true!

So, clear out the room (or rooms) and make room for the perfect space that brings peace and harmony to your lifestyle.
